Rework Properties Inc. does business as Rework Cash Offers. On this page, that means “we,” “us,” and “our.” This policy explains what we collect from you, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We have written it in plain English on purpose. If anything here is unclear, call or email us and we will explain it.

What we collect

When you ask us for a cash offer, we collect the details you give us:

  • The address of the property you want to sell
  • Your name
  • Your phone number
  • Your email address
  • Anything else you choose to tell us about the property or your situation. That covers its condition, why you are selling, your timeline, and any notes you add to our form or share with us on a call.

We also collect standard web analytics when you visit this site. That includes the pages you view, the site or ad that sent you here, your general location, your browser and device type, and your IP address. This is the ordinary information most websites collect. We use it to understand how people find and use our site.

Why we collect it

We use your information for two things: to prepare and deliver a cash offer on your property, and to follow up with you about that property. So we may call, text, or email you about your offer. We may ask questions we need answered to price the property. We may set up a walkthrough, and we may stay in touch while you decide.

We use analytics to improve the site. It also shows us which of our ads and pages actually help homeowners reach us.

Your mobile number and SMS consent are never sold or shared

Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

If you give us your mobile number and agree to receive texts from us, that number and that consent stay with us. We do not sell them. We do not rent them. We do not hand them to anyone else so they can market to you.

You can stop our text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you get from us, and reply HELP to any message for help. Our SMS messaging terms have the full details.

Who we do share information with

We share your information in only three situations:

  • Service providers working on our behalf. We use outside companies to run our business. Our customer relationship manager (CRM) stores leads. Our messaging platform sends our texts and emails. Our analytics providers measure the website. They may only use your information to do the job we hired them for. They may not use it for their own marketing.
  • Title and escrow companies, when a sale moves forward. If you accept an offer and we open escrow, we share what is needed with the title and escrow companies handling the closing. This is a normal part of any real estate transaction.
  • Where the law requires it. We may share information when we are required to by law, a subpoena, or a court order, or where we need to in order to protect our legal rights.

We do not sell your personal information. And as stated above, mobile numbers and SMS consent are never shared with anyone for their own marketing.

For California residents

If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), gives you these rights:

  • The right to know. You can ask us what personal information we have collected about you, where we got it, why we collected it, and who we shared it with.
  • The right to delete. You can ask us to delete the personal information we hold about you.
  • The right to correct. You can ask us to fix personal information about you that is wrong.
  • The right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. You can tell us not to sell or share your personal information.

We do not sell personal information. We also do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. And we will not treat you differently for using these rights. We will not refuse you an offer, give you a worse price, or give you slower service.

To use any of these rights, email us at [email protected] or call (916) 866-3327. Tell us which right you want to use. We may ask a couple of questions first, to confirm you are who you say you are. We will respond within the time the law allows. You can also have someone else make a request for you. If you do, we may ask for proof that you gave them permission.

How long we keep your information

We keep what you give us while we need it. That covers making you an offer, following up about the property, and closing a sale if you accept. After that, we keep records for business, tax, accounting, and legal reasons. Real estate records in particular have to be kept for several years. Once we no longer need your information, we delete it or strip out anything that identifies you.

You can ask us to delete your information at any time. Email [email protected] or call (916) 866-3327 and tell us you want your information deleted. We will delete what we are not required by law to keep, and we will tell you if anything has to stay.

How we protect your information

We use reasonable safeguards to protect the information you give us. We also limit access to the people and providers who need it to do their work. No website or system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security. But we take this seriously.

Children

This site is meant for adults who own property. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the effective date at the top. Please check back from time to time.
